There are so many milestones to celebrate with family, and this sweet clan got to celebrate a baptism and a 60th birthday together!
The party took place in January, right in the middle of all the insane snowstorms we had in the northeast this winter! So the cakes were designed with the winter setting outside in mind! Pure white fondant, with silvery snowflakes as a simple but elegant decoration!
Here is the baptism cake:
It was vanilla cake with a decedent cannoli cream filling and vanilla frosting.
Here is the 60th birthday cake made to match:
This cake was vanilla cake with a nutella filling and vanilla frosting. Yum!!
Congrats to this sweet family on the wonderful milestones they were able to celebrate together!!

Buttercream Christening Cake
This past weekend I had the honor of making the cake for one of my colleagues son's christening! The cake was two tiers (bottom tier - yellow cake, top tier - devils food cake) with cannoli cream filling and vanilla frosting.
I was lucky enough to have made the baby shower cake for David's momma (Luis Vuitton Diaper Bag cake, which I JUST realized I never blogged about - am I crazy!?! Will post a blog about this cake soon!), so to be asked to come back and do this little angel's christening cake was truly awesome!
The cake was covered in buttercream, decorated with fondant flowers (in the shape of a cross), polka dots, ribbon and a scalloped circle with "God Bless David" adorning the top of the cake.

Heavenly Bites gets Angelic
This past weekend was a crazy one! By far my busiest yet, with the largest orders I've ever had. First up were mini-cakes for a baptism. The angels on top were made out of fondant. I started making them 2 weeks prior to the event! There were 2 different types of mini-cakes...one was vanilla cake, vanilla filling and vanilla frosting...the other was chocolate cake, white chocolate filling and vanilla frosting. All were covered with fondant, with a ribbon around the base, polka-dotted and marked with the initial "R" for the adorable baby boy being baptized that day.
